Templin Gardens

edit this listing
Tucked behind the busy dowtown street is one of Fergus' best treasures. Templin Gardens offers visitors a quiet and relaxing setting where one can truly appreciate natures beauty. Local residents use Templin Gardens as a place to eat their lunch, read a book or capture a personal moment. Templin Gardens was built by John C. Templin as a gift for his wife, an avid gardener. Although the exact year is undetermined, it is believed that it was built in the 1920's or 1930's. In addition to the many flowers, the gardens today contain a fishpond, a rock garden and steps leading to a balcony overlooking the Grand River. A footbridge was built not too long ago for easier access to the other side of the river.
