The Schizophrenia Society of Ontario is a family based advocacy group founded in 1979. There are 32 chapters across Ontario. Our objectives are: • Emotional support, information, and practical assistance for families • Promoting public awareness of schizophrenia, educating people about the symptoms, causes and treatment of schizophrenia • Support for research • Advocacy on behalf of people with schizophrenia and their families • Raising funds to support all activities of the organization.
