Campbellford Seymour Heritage Society

edit this listing
The mandate of the Campbellford-Seymour Heritage Society is to foster an awareness of local history and pride in the heritage of the community of Campbellford/Seymour within the Municipality of Trent Hills. The Heritage Society was founded in January 1983, and affiliation with the Ontario Historical Society was quickly established. Monthly meetings were initially held in members' homes, at the town council chambers, and at the Campbellford District High School library. The Society had no permanent home until 1989 when the Town Council of Campbellford generously gave the Society the use of the stone building at 113 Front St. North for the purpose of creating a heritage facility.
